Toyota and Lexus VSC warning lights indicate the Vehicle Stability Control system is active or malfunctioning. The VSC system helps prevent skidding by applying brakes and reducing engine power when it detects loss of control, flashing when active and staying illuminated when there's a fault or it's manually turned off. While VSC is generally beneficial for safety, it can be temporarily disabled in certain conditions like snow or mud to allow wheel spin, but should be re-enabled afterward.
