UN Condemns Houthi Attacks on Two Saudi Airports
The United Nations strongly condemned ongoing Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, specifically recent strikes targeting Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, announced Thursday via UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric. Dujarric stated the UN renews its condemnation, expressing grave concern over continued military escalation in Yemen and intense clashes on multiple fronts. He emphasized that attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure are prohibited under international humanitarian law, urging all parties to respect their obligations. Saudi civil aviation authorities reported Wednesday that three people were killed and 36 injured in the Houthi attacks. The Iran-backed group has been launching ballistic missiles and drones at Riyadh and other Saudi regions.
