A significant portion of Ukrainians now believe developing their own nuclear weapons is the best security guarantee, reflecting disillusionment with international support. This shift is evident as trust in NATO membership as a security guarantee has fallen, with only 19.4% holding this view compared to 29.3% a year ago. The survey, conducted in November 2025, also showed declining faith in other external security options, though support for European troops on Ukrainian soil has increased.
