Ukrainian intelligence services exchange gunfire in Kyiv

Ukrainian intelligence services exchanged gunfire in Kyiv on Wednesday morning, according to a video published by Ukrainska Pravda, marking an unprecedented internal clash between the military intelligence (HUR) and the security service (SBU). The incident occurred in the Dnipro district and is linked to the reported abduction of Stepan Kaplunov, deputy commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps fighting for Ukraine, on September 1. Three HUR officers were wounded, and the SBU claimed it jointly prevented a terrorist attack against a Russian opposition leader. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the shootout disgraceful and signed a decree dismissing SBU department head Oleh Hramov, promising further personnel decisions. The State Bureau of Investigation and SBU's Alpha unit arrived at the scene.
