Ukrainian intelligence agencies clash in shootout; Zelensky demands accountability

Ukrainian intelligence services were involved in a shootout, prompting President Volodymyr Zelensky to call it a "scandalous situation" and demand personnel consequences and internal investigations in both agencies. The SBU initially reported preventing a Moscow-directed assassination attempt on a Russian opposition figure, but later stated its operatives were attacked by unknown assailants during an operation, wounding several attackers who turned out to be military personnel under the HUR's command. The HUR has not officially commented on the incident. In the same video address, Zelensky thanked Germany and Chancellor Friedrich Merz for additional air defense missiles, as Germany is now the world's largest supporter of Ukraine's defense.
