Ukrainian egg prices jumped 75%, leading inflation

Ukraine's inflation reached its highest point in 2025, with egg prices soaring nearly 75% year-over-year, according to the State Statistics Service. Overall inflation hit 15.1% in April compared to April 2024, driven by a 19.8% increase in food prices. Butter, fruits, and bread also saw significant price hikes. The National Bank of Ukraine now forecasts 8.7% inflation by the end of 2025, a slight increase from previous estimates, though they expect a slowdown later in the year.
