Ukrainian air defense downs 135 of 163 Russian drones in overnight attack

On the night of September 3, Russia attacked Ukraine with 163 drones, and Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed or suppressed 135 of them. The attack involved Shahed, S8000 Banderol, Gerbera, and Parody imitation drones. Air defense units, including aviation, missile troops, electronic warfare, and mobile fire groups, repelled the assault. Drone strikes were recorded at 15 locations, with debris from downed drones falling at four additional sites. The Ukrainian Air Force reported the attack, noting about half of the Shahed drones were jet-powered. The military said the defense operation was successful in neutralizing the majority of incoming threats.
