Ukrainian Actress Reveals Abuse by Putin-Supporting Ex-Husband

Ukrainian actress and singer Alla Martyniuk has revealed she suffered domestic violence during her marriage to a Russian man who supports Putin, including having her passport burned and being beaten. She fled with her two-month-old daughter. Martyniuk said her partner changed drastically after she became pregnant, becoming controlling and violent. He locked her and their child in the house for a week, and after she requested a divorce, he burned her passport and beat her, leaving her covered in bruises. The ex-husband later attempted to kidnap their daughter and joined the Russian army after the full-scale invasion. He sent the girl a message saying he would "soon be nearby," which she interpreted as a threat, though he later claimed it was a joke.
