Ukraine's Navy strikes Russian support vessel in Sochi port

Ukraine's Navy struck a Russian-flagged multi-purpose support vessel with a naval drone in Sochi, Russia, on September 3. A powerful explosion and smoke were reported near the ship. The vessel, identified as NEFRIT, supported Russian oil and gas operations, serviced offshore facilities, transported cargo and personnel, and performed underwater technical work. Ukrainian Navy sources said its activities directly supported the enemy's war economy and financing of aggression against Ukraine. The "Crimean Wind" public channel published video clearly showing the strike on the vessel. The attack targeted Russian maritime and energy infrastructure in the Black Sea region.
