Ukraine sets cash dollar rate at 44.30-45.10 hryvnias for September 5-6
Ukraine's cash dollar exchange rate for September 5-6 is set at a purchase range of 44.30-44.60 hryvnias and a sale range of 44.75-45.10 hryvnias, according to analyst Oleksiy Kozyrev for Minfin. The National Bank remained the key seller from August 31 to September 5, while demand on the interbank market grew due to Russian strikes on infrastructure, forcing retailers to boost imports and energy buyers to increase purchases. Brent oil stayed above $90 per barrel amid the unresolved Hormuz Strait issue. The euro/dollar pair fluctuated within about 1 cent (1.157-1.167 dollars per euro), which is not critical for the Ukrainian market. Separately, banks must accept dollar banknotes of all years since 1914 if they meet Federal Reserve design and security requirements.
