Ukraine launches major drone attack on Russian airfields causing extensive damage

Ukraine launched a significant drone attack on multiple targets in Russia early Sunday, causing extensive damage and panic. The Yeysk airfield in Krasnodar was hit, with reports suggesting the attack may have killed General Alexander Dvornikov, known for his actions in Syria. In addition to Yeysk, drones struck an ammunition depot in Kotluban, resulting in a large explosion. Ukrainian sources claim the attack destroyed Iranian missile launchers and 45 tonnes of ammunition. Fires continued to burn at the site hours later. The Millerovo military airfield in Rostov was also targeted, with over 20 drones involved. This airfield had previously been attacked in July 2024, when significant damage occurred.
