Ukraine explores LNG storage options with US to boost energy security
Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced that Ukraine and other European nations can buy and store liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States. This development follows the end of Russian gas transit through Ukraine. Ukraine has large underground gas storage facilities, which could enhance Europe's energy security. The country aims to cooperate with U.S. businesses for reconstruction efforts after the war. Sybiha also mentioned Ukraine's proposal for a joint investment agreement with the U.S. and EU to utilize its natural resources, which are valued at trillions of dollars.
