Ukraine drone expert: Russian Shahed-launched FPV drones show low effectiveness

The Russian military has been using FPV drones launched from Shahed drones for over a year, but the tactic has very low effectiveness, according to Ukrainian drone expert Serhiy Beskrestnov, known as "Flash." He stated the enemy employs this method rarely, about once every one to two weeks. Beskrestnov explained that two FPV drones can be attached to a standard Shahed or Gerbera drone, with control via an LTE modem. However, the FPV drones frequently lose communication and control, causing them to fall, and they cannot be mounted on jet-powered Shaheds. The comment follows a report by monitoring channel eRadar about a Shahed carrying FPV drones over the Kyiv region. While such cases have been recorded before, this instance occurred directly in the capital region, allowing the carrier to deliver smaller drones over long distances.
