Ukraine denied deliberately targeting Bulgaria after a drone entering from Romania exploded near a key gas pipeline; no casualties or damage were reported. Bulgaria's defense ministry said the drone resembled Ukrainian military types and the incident appeared accidental. Ukraine said it was investigating and in close contact with Sofia. The blast occurred about 100 meters inside Bulgarian territory, near compressor stations. Such stray drones have become common since Russia's full-scale invasion. In June, NATO jets downed one in Latvia; Estonia, Lithuania, Moldova, and Romania reported similar incidents. Officials blamed Russian electronic warfare.
