Ukraine begins first lithium extraction project at Kirovohrad Oblast deposit

Ukraine has launched its first lithium extraction project, awarding a contract for the "Dobra" deposit in Kirovohrad Oblast. The project, managed under a production sharing agreement, requires at least $179 million in capital investment, including funds for exploration and extraction. Dobra Lithium Holdings JV, LLC, a partnership of international companies TechMet and The Rock Holdings, won the bid. This initiative aims to integrate Ukraine into global supply chains, attract further investment, and enhance economic and security ties, particularly with the US and EU.
