Ukraine adopts new economic activity codes aligned with EU standards in 2027

Ukraine will adopt a new classification of economic activities, NACE 2.1-UA, aligned with the EU, starting January 1, 2027. This change aims to harmonize Ukrainian economic data with EU statistics. The new classification, approved by the State Statistics Service, replaces the current KVVED:2010. It ensures data comparability and simplifies business interactions with European partners by grouping enterprises based on shared characteristics. Preparation for the transition is ongoing throughout 2026, with full implementation in statistical observations planned for 2028. Most businesses will see automatic updates, but some may need to re-register their data.
