UK Venlafaxine 75mg tablets out of stock until November

The UK Department of Health and Social Care has confirmed that Venlafaxine 75mg immediate-release tablets, a common antidepressant, will be out of stock nationwide until November 2026. The medicine supply notification was sent to all NHS pharmacies, with guidance issued on managing affected patients. Alternative strengths and modified-release versions of Venlafaxine remain available, though some cannot support increased demand. Venlafaxine is a prescription-only SNRI antidepressant used to treat depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and menopause symptoms. The DHSC stated it is working with suppliers to resolve the issue and speed up deliveries.
