UK study reveals most dangerous driving areas outside London

A recent study by Tollwayr has identified the most dangerous driving areas in the UK outside London. Blackpool ranks first, with an average of 976 collisions per billion vehicle miles from 2018 to 2023. Hull and the Isles of Scilly follow in second and third place, respectively. Luton and Brighton and Hove are also among the top five most hazardous areas, with average collision rates of 856 and 851 per billion vehicle miles. The overall UK average is 335 collisions per billion vehicle miles during the same period. In contrast, Moray in Scotland is noted as the safest region, with only 82 collisions per billion vehicle miles. The report highlights significant differences in road safety across various regions.
