Wes Streeting announced plans to utilize genetic technology to prevent cancer, aiming to revolutionize healthcare similar to Alexander Fleming's penicillin discovery. The initiative includes significant investments in health data research, totaling over £600 million, and an additional £354 million for the "Our Future Health" program, alongside backing Genomics England with over £650 million. These investments will facilitate earlier disease detection and personalized medicine.
