UK pensioners to receive £470 increase in State Pension starting April 2025
Millions of UK pensioners will receive a £470 increase in their State Pension starting in April 2025. The new rates, confirmed by the Department for Work and Pensions, reflect a 4.1% rise due to the Triple Lock policy. The full State Pension will increase from £221.20 to £230.25 per week. The basic pension will rise from £169.50 to £176.45 per week, while Category B pensions will increase from £101.55 to £105.70 per week. Additionally, the Pension Credit Standard Minimum Guarantee will also rise by 4.1%, increasing from about £11,400 to £11,850 annually for single pensioners. Weekly rates for couples and individuals will also see similar increases.
