UK households to receive Personal Independence Payments early in December
Many UK households receiving Personal Independence Payments (PIP) will see their payments arrive earlier in December due to two bank holidays. Payments typically made on December 25 and 26 will instead be issued on December 24. PIP payments are made every four weeks to assist those with long-term conditions. The maximum amount for a four-week period is £737.20, depending on individual needs for daily living and mobility support. Claimants should also note that payments due on January 1 will be made a day earlier on December 31. Other benefits from the Department for Work and Pensions and HMRC will also have adjusted payment dates during this holiday period.
