UK Home Office rejects claim ex-antisemite Tory adviser is certified

Home Office contradicted Kemi Badenoch’s claim that Tory adviser Joshua Bonehill-Paine, a former antisemite, was Government-certified to deliver counter-extremism training. Bonehill-Paine works with Conservatives on tackling radicalisation after withdrawing as a local candidate. The Home Office said it funds civil society groups, not individuals. He was convicted in 2016 of harassing Jewish MP Luciana Berger and jailed over a neo-Nazi rally advert. Jewish groups criticised his appointment, though Board of Deputies president called it appropriate. Badenoch defended him, saying reformed extremists can help fight antisemitism.
