UK, Germany will develop a 2,000km strike weapon

The UK and Germany will jointly develop a new long-range strike weapon with a range exceeding 2,000 kilometers, according to a British government announcement. This collaboration signifies a major step in European defense cooperation. The project follows a defense pact signed last year, emphasizing European self-defense amid the ongoing war in Ukraine. The initiative comes as both nations seek to bolster their defense capabilities, particularly after the recent US presidential election. The announcement was made during a meeting in Berlin between British and German defense ministers. Discussions also included joint procurement of torpedoes and a deal for Germany to purchase British-made military bridges.
