UK counter-terrorism unit prompts Valve to remove controversial game from Steam store
Valve has removed the game "Fursan al-Aqsa: The Knights of the Al-Aqsa Mosque" from its UK Steam store. This action follows a request from the UK's counter-terrorism unit, which cited concerns over the game's content related to the Israel-Palestine conflict. The game's developer, Nidal Nijm, questioned the ban, noting that other shooter games remain available. He attributed the removal to political reasons and criticized perceived double standards in content regulation. Previously, the game faced bans in Germany and Australia for not meeting classification requirements. It remains available for purchase outside the UK, but UK users see a message indicating the game is unavailable in their region.
