UC Berkeley researchers release affordable open-source reasoning AI model Sky-T1

Researchers at UC Berkeley have released Sky-T1, an open-source reasoning AI model that can be trained for under $450. This model is designed to replicate high-level reasoning capabilities affordably and efficiently. Sky-T1 competes with an earlier version of OpenAI's o1 on key benchmarks, performing better on math challenges and coding evaluations.
