Ubisoft marks 10 years of Assassin's Creed Unity as Notre Dame reopens after restoration
Ubisoft is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Assassin's Creed Unity, which features a detailed recreation of Notre Dame. The game includes the cathedral's spire, added in 1859, despite the game’s 18th-century setting. This decision reflects its iconic status today. Notre Dame recently reopened after extensive restoration following a 2019 fire. Some repairs are still ongoing. Ubisoft has partnered with the Notre Dame visitors app to showcase inaccessible areas of the cathedral using game assets. Additionally, Ubisoft released a free virtual reality experience, Notre-Dame de Paris: Journey Back in Time, on the Meta store. The next game in the series, Assassin's Creed Shadows, has been delayed to February 14, 2025.
