Uber will offer Baidu's autonomous vehicles globally

Uber and Baidu have announced a strategic partnership, integrating Baidu's autonomous vehicles, Apollo Go, into Uber's ride-sharing platform. This will expand autonomous ride options globally. The collaboration will focus on offering affordable and reliable ride-sharing services outside the U.S. and China. Apollo Go vehicles, with a fleet of over 1,000, will initially launch in Asian and Middle Eastern markets later this year. Baidu's Apollo Go vehicles have already completed over 11 million public rides. The partnership aims to bring autonomous vehicle technology to a global scale, leveraging Uber's extensive platform.
