Tusk convenes emergency security meeting as Russia intensifies attacks near Poland

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk convened an emergency meeting of the government's Security Centre following new Russian attacks near Poland's border, warning that the coming weeks and months will be a period of intensified Russian actions that could potentially affect Polish territory. During the meeting with the interior and defense ministers, Tusk said Poland had received intelligence from its services and allies about possible Russian escalation. He noted that Russia is actively using jet-powered drones whose range and accuracy are concerning, and that Poland must be prepared for potential drone use to destabilize the country, including attacks on railways or enterprises. Tusk confirmed that overnight a fuel station near the Polish border and a freight train depot were attacked in Ukraine, approximately two kilometers from a Polish crossing point. He said Poland's airspace was not violated and did not confirm reports of attacks on truck convoys or a passenger train on the Kyiv–Warsaw route.
