Tuscany funds all 12 University of Pisa Seal of Excellence projects

lanazione.it (Italian) —

All 12 Seal of Excellence projects submitted by the University of Pisa have been funded by the Tuscany Region, with approximately 130,000 euros allocated to each study over two years. The research spans six university departments. The projects cover diverse fields including biomaterials, prehistory, mathematics, quantum technologies, biology, medicine, and sensor technology. The Seal of Excellence certifies high-quality proposals that passed European evaluation thresholds but missed EU funding due to exhausted resources. University Vice-Rector Benedetta Mennucci stated the regional support prevents losing this expertise and offers researchers the chance to develop excellence projects locally. The funded studies include 3D-SCAFTHERA, BUNDLES, CoLoQuST, COMPLECTER, CRIT-PS, DynamAOT-F, FAR-BioSENSE, FibroLncFun, OSTEOMECH, PLAYMORE-HUB, PRISM-DR, and X-GRASP.
