Turkish contractors seek revenue abroad due to stagnation
Turkish contractors are expanding their revenue streams abroad, signing new projects worth $560 million in the first quarter of 2025 amid domestic stagnation. Turkish construction companies are increasingly focusing on international markets, securing 14 new projects in the first quarter of 2025, including in countries like Kazakhstan. This follows a decline in the domestic construction confidence index and rising costs. The Turkish government is also planning to increase its presence in Ukraine's reconstruction efforts. The total value of overseas projects has reached $45 billion, reflecting a strategic shift to counter internal economic challenges.
