Trump reduces travel, focuses on White House duties
President Donald Trump is spending more time at the White House during his second term, taking fewer domestic trips than in his first term. He has declined several proposed travel plans, including a visit to the southern U.S. border. In the first eight weeks of his second term, Trump has made only one trip, compared to eight trips during the same period in his first term. He has hosted more foreign leaders at the White House, with eight visits so far. Trump's team plans to have Vice President JD Vance and other Cabinet members handle more travel. There are currently no confirmed trips on Trump's calendar, aside from weekends at Mar-a-Lago.
