Trump confirms extradition of Mumbai attack suspect to India
President Donald Trump announced the U.S. has approved the extradition of Tahawwur Rana, a suspect in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, to India. The attacks killed over 160 people and were linked to the Pakistan-based group Lashkar-e-Taiba. Rana, a Pakistani-origin businessman, was previously sentenced in the U.S. for supporting the group. His extradition follows a Supreme Court decision rejecting his appeal against it. During the press conference, Trump also addressed U.S.-India cooperation on crime but did not comment on Sikh separatists, a contentious issue in bilateral relations.
