Tripura chief minister aims to enroll 20-30 lakh residents in cooperative societies
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha announced a goal to enroll 20-30 lakh people into cooperative societies. Currently, only 9-10 lakh residents are involved in cooperatives in the state, which has a population of about 40 lakh. Saha made the announcement during a program focused on promoting cooperatives in Tripura. He stated that increasing participation in cooperatives could improve the socio-economic conditions of the state. The chief minister noted that the cooperative movement has gained momentum since Amit Shah became the Union home minister.
