Toyota suspends production at three Thai plants from Oct 5-10 due to flooding
Toyota Motor Thailand will suspend production at three plants from October 5 to 10 due to flooding that has disrupted parts deliveries in Samut Prakan, Chachoengsao and Chon Buri provinces. The announcement, made Friday, updates a notice issued Wednesday about suspensions caused by flood impacts on suppliers and employees unable to travel to work. The duration at the Samrong, Banpho and Gateway plants is subject to adjustment based on conditions and parts availability. Toyota said it is coordinating with suppliers to expedite deliveries and managing inventories and logistics plans. It will communicate updates on resumption dates and work with dealers to confirm delivery schedules for affected customers.
