Toru Fuyuki, composer of Ultraseven theme song, dies at 89 in Tokyo

Toru Fuyuki, a renowned Japanese composer, passed away at 89 from aspiration pneumonia in Tokyo. He was famous for composing the theme song for the 1960s series "Ultraseven" and was known as the "Father of Ultra Music." Fuyuki began his career in 1956 at Radio Tokyo and later wrote music for Tsuburaya Productions' superhero series. His notable works include the themes for "Ultraseven" and "Return of Ultraman." In addition to his television work, Fuyuki produced choral pieces and hymns under his real name, Shoko Maita, and taught at Toho Gakuen School of Music.
