Toronto Police seek information in 2024 murder case
Toronto Police are asking for help from the public to find a person of interest and a vehicle connected to a murder. This follows a shooting that took place just before midnight on September 30, 2024. Officers responded to reports of gunfire at the Lawrence Allen Centre. There, they found 26-year-old Joey Omar Black shot in the parking lot. He was quickly taken to the hospital but sadly later died from his injuries. The suspect is described as a Black man between 18 and 22 years old. He is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and has a thin build. At the time of the incident, he was dressed in all black, including a hooded jacket, pants, and shoes, and was wearing orange gloves. Police are also looking for a white four-door sedan that may be linked to the case. Anyone who might have information is encouraged to call the police or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
