Toronto police arrest suspect in TMU vehicle attack
A suspect in the Toronto Metropolitan University vehicle attack has been arrested and charged with attempted murder. The arrest follows an unrelated road rage incident. Ryan Petroff, 23, was apprehended on Thursday and faces charges including dangerous driving and leaving the scene of an accident. The initial TMU incident on April 15 injured five people on a pedestrian walkway. Police are investigating the motive behind the TMU attack, which they have confirmed is not terrorism-related. Petroff faces numerous additional charges related to both incidents and other alleged crimes.
