Tibia introduces first new class in 28 years with Monk addition

Tibia, a long-running MMORPG launched in 1997, is adding its first new class, the Monk, after 28 years. Previously, players could choose from four classes: Knight, Paladin, Druid, and Sorcerer. The Monk class will focus on melee combat and mystical powers. CipSoft, the game's developer, had previously considered adding a new class too complex but now sees it as a natural progression. A playtest for the Monk is scheduled for February 25, 2025, with a full release expected in the second quarter of the year.
