The seven phases of the Internet: from connected computers to quantum communication

The Internet is evolving through seven additive phases, moving from connecting computers to mobile devices, then all devices, and now AI agents. The current phase, the Internet of AI Agents, involves intelligent systems that can perceive, reason, and act. Future phases include the Internet of Senses, Ubiquitous Internet, and the Quantum Internet. These phases build upon each other, expanding connectivity from data packets to encompass intelligence, perception, global reach, and eventually quantum-level interactions.
