The Odyssey surpasses Dark Knight Rises as Nolan's highest-grossing film worldwide

Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” has become his highest-grossing film ever, earning $1.104 billion worldwide in its first month, surpassing “The Dark Knight Rises.” The Universal release, starring Matt Damon as Odysseus, has collected $461.1 million domestically. It surpasses Warner Bros.’ 2012 “The Dark Knight Rises” ($1.085 billion) and 2008’s “The Dark Knight” ($1.005 billion). The film also stars Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway and Robert Pattinson. Nolan’s 2023 “Oppenheimer,” also distributed by Universal, ranks fourth with $975.8 million and won seven Oscars. “The Odyssey” is among the year’s top five global earners.
