The Odyssey becomes Christopher Nolan's highest-grossing movie worldwide

Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has become his highest-grossing movie ever, surpassing $1.1 billion at the global box office in its fourth weekend. Released July 17, the film crossed $1 billion on Friday. It overtook 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises, which earned $1.085 billion; The Dark Knight and Oppenheimer follow. The epic also ranks as the second-highest-grossing R-rated film of all time, behind Deadpool & Wolverine, and is the biggest hit of Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, and Robert Pattinson’s careers.
