Texas election results to start reporting after polls close on Election Day
Texas election results will begin to be reported shortly after polls close at 7 p.m. on Election Day. Early voting totals will be available first, but complete results may take longer due to the counting process and security measures. In large counties like Harris and Tarrant, results may be delayed as election workers transport and verify ballots from numerous polling locations. These counties have set up designated drop-off sites to expedite the counting process. Election night results are considered unofficial until all ballots, including late mail-in and provisional ballots, are counted. Final results will be certified by December 9, after local and statewide canvasses are completed.
