Ten African countries partner with the United States on extraditions

The United States has extradition agreements with ten African nations, facilitating the transfer of individuals accused of serious crimes. These countries include Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, and the Republic of the Congo, enabling cooperation on offenses like terrorism and fraud. Many of these arrangements stem from older treaties with the United Kingdom, with each extradition request subject to individual legal review by both nations.
