Telecentro buys iPlan for USD 260 million to expand fiber network in Argentina

Telecentro, led by principal shareholder Alberto Pierri, has acquired fiber optic provider iPlan for USD 260 million. The deal was signed this morning, with final closure expected within 30 days. The acquisition was funded primarily by a 5-year peso syndicated loan from ICBC, Banco Galicia, and Banco Santander. Telecentro, with 35 years in the market, serves over 6 million homes and reported USD 600 million in 2025 revenue, while iPlan, founded in 1999, adds corporate segment strength and coverage in Rosario, Córdoba, and Tucumán. Consolidated revenues are projected to reach USD 750 million. JP Morgan and law firms Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton and Mitrani Caballero advised sellers, while F&G Advisors and DLA Piper advised Telecentro.
