Telangana opens Advanced Technology Centres to boost youth employability

Telangana Labour Minister G. Vivek Venkataswamy announced the establishment of Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs) across all 119 Assembly constituencies to equip youth with industry-oriented skills and improve employability. He performed the bhoomi puja for an ATC in Rudrangi, Rajanna Sircilla district, on Tuesday. The Rudrangi centre is being built at an estimated cost of ₹45.15 crore. The Minister stated the government is creating a comprehensive ecosystem for skill training and placements, having transformed Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) into ATCs to address a job market driven by emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Electric Vehicles, Robotics, and Drones. The Telangana Overseas Manpower Company (TOMCOM) is working to secure overseas jobs for skilled youth. The Minister assured that a German language trainer would be deputed to Rudrangi if 100 eligible youth are identified, with TOMCOM facilitating foreign placements for successful trainees.
