Telangana launches Clean and Green Energy Policy aiming for 49,104 MW capacity by 2030
Telangana's Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched the Clean and Green Energy Policy-2025 on January 11, 2025. This new policy will guide energy development in the state for the next ten years. The policy aims to increase the state's energy capacity from 26,212 MW to a projected 49,104 MW by 2029-30. It emphasizes solar, wind, and renewable energy projects, along with energy storage and green hydrogen production. Telangana plans to enhance its energy infrastructure, including 6,000 electric vehicle charging stations. The state has significant solar and wind potential, with a focus on sustainable and reliable power for consumers.
