Telangana High Court permits farmers to protest against Pharma City project

The Telangana High Court has allowed farmers to hold a protest against the Pharma City project in Yacharam Mandal. This decision suspends a previous order that prohibited the farmers from marching and distributing pamphlets. Justice B Vijaysen Reddy emphasized that the police cannot restrict people's right to dissent. The farmers, whose lands are being acquired, argued for their right to protest. The court granted permission for the protest on January 14 but advised farmers to ensure no individuals with criminal backgrounds join. The case will be reviewed again on January 31.
