Teenage recruits allege rape and abuse at UK Army college

Four teenage women allege rape and sexual abuse at Britain's Army Foundation College, one saying she was raped by fellow trainees at 17, fuelling safeguarding scrutiny. The BBC reports 16 sexual offence reports linked to the college in the year to June, and 176 complaints of inappropriate sexual behaviour since 2018. The women described an environment where abuse was normalised and female recruits routinely demeaned. A Labour MP demanded an independent inquiry into whether the college should continue operating. The allegations follow a Ministry of Defence report finding 67% of servicewomen experienced sexualised behaviour in the past year.
