Teen from Nepal becomes youngest to summit all 14 highest peaks

Nima Rinji Sherpa, an 18-year-old from Nepal, has become the youngest person to summit all 14 of the world’s highest peaks. He completed this achievement on October 9 by reaching the top of Shishapangma, standing at 8,027 meters. Nima plans to climb Manaslu, the eighth-highest mountain, this winter without supplemental oxygen or fixed ropes. He aims to inspire other young Sherpas to pursue mountaineering as a profession rather than just support roles. This year, several Nepali climbers have set records, including Dawa Yangzum Sherpa, the youngest Nepalese woman to climb all 14 peaks. Nima hopes to elevate the recognition of Nepali climbers in the global mountaineering community.
