Taichung mayor calls for fourth party rotation in Taiwan

Taichung Mayor Lu Shiow-yen called for a fourth party rotation in Taiwan's government. She stated that after ten years of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) rule, corruption has increased and the party has become distant from the people. Lu believes a change in power would benefit the nation. Lu cited recent recall failures and various scandals as evidence of the DPP's detachment from public opinion and a weakening anti-corruption mechanism.
